Jeremy Gilien (Keyboardist, Composer, Conductor) has been a musical artist since he was a child. Currently, Mr Gilien serves on the faculty for the Colburn School in downtown Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles High School for the Arts (LACHSA). Mr. Gilien has been Director of Music at Lynwood United Methodist Church, and currently serves as organist of Downey United Methodist Church. He also serves on the music staff of University SDA church. Jeremy received his Master of Arts degree in composition from California State University, Los Angeles, where he has also served as a coach for the Opera Workshop for several years. He is honored to have had a hand in the early training of many of the finest young singers in Southern California. He has played for American Ballet Theatre’s (ABT) summer intensive training program, and is currently director of music for the Department of Dance of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Jeremy has been on the faculty of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts since the school's inception in 1985. As a founding member of the Musical Theatre Ensemble, Mr Gilien has provided musical direction for all past productions, including: West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, Evita, Carousel, Jesus Christ Superstar and 42nd Street, among others.
